Brigadier is highest rank below a General’s rank.
Next, major General.
Then, Lieutenant General.
Finally, General.
Field Marshal General is higher but is supposedly honorary.
Full Colonels in Russia look like they may be equivalent to our Brigadier Generals.

Since Russians have no Brigadier General rank at all, this really may even be a four star general position!
Russian formations are smaller as well. When you hear “Russian Tank Regiment”, rhino battalion strength.
