Former U.S. Rep. Lou Barletta, a leading contender for the GOP nomination in the Pennsylvania governor’s race, is hoisting up the economic impacts of Russia’s invasion into Ukraine as a portrait of why American energy independence is so important.
Speaking to the Post-Gazette by phone on Thursday amid a four-day swing through Pittsburgh, Mr. Barletta blamed Democrats and President Joe Biden’s administration for weakening America’s energy exportation worldwide — a vacuum that Russian energy was able to fill, he claims.

Despite criticism from GOP officials, oil and gas drilling in the U.S. has actually increased since Mr. Biden took office. In 2021, natural gas production grew 2%, and in late January of this year, oil production was up slightly compared to the same time a year ago.

Zeoli is hosting a debate i think in a week or two at Cairn U. my alma when it was PCB. Mastriano has a lot of signs up everywhere and some good ideas. But he voted for act 77 (someone todl him it was constitutional? is his excuse. Did he have a mouse in his pocket at the time?) Never Corbin as he squelched the vote audit. McSwain i thin would be good.
My priorities.
Supreme Court reform. Take the power from the commie cities. and apportion like senators from each area not population.
School tax reform with taxes following student. ( the current considerations are a revamp of sales tax. what a mess. no i mean no cost control. tax following student is a form of cost control.) I say Child bearing age set fee that stops after 50 years old. Apportioning by population is also a cost control and make it a constitutional amendment. Skools can only teech reedin, ritin and rithmetic and the cost set about what catholic school system now operates on. Special needs students is entirely out of the skool budget as there is no constituional mandate for special needs student. Deal with it seperately.
Eliminate income and sales taxes.
Eliminate all licenses for performing real work.
Eliminate all licenses for God given exercising of rights. (Cars,etc)
Add additional toll roads on interstates. require ez pass style usage assessment. no manned toll booths.
