Two people were caught on surveillance video rummaging through the pockets of a Philadelphia man who was dying on a sidewalk after being shot, police said.
The 38-year-old victim took three bullets to his chest after getting into a fight with a man in the city’s Hunting Park neighborhood Wednesday evening.

Happens all the time. Victims show up to emergency rooms unconscious (or dead) and with no identification because they’d been robbed of their belongings while waiting for the ambulance to arrive. And then hospital staff have to try to figure out who they were so family can be notified.

My mom’s hometown. I visited her parents there in my youth, where they lived in the inner city (row house.) It was getting bad back then in the late 60’s, early 70’s. But it wasn’t yet a murder capital.
