Alabama just passed Constitutional Carry which goes into effect January 1, 2023. One of the big (if not sole) reasons people in AL wanted a CCW was reciprocity with GA. If this passes that reason goes away (although AL still CCW enjoys reciprocity with 30+ other states).

I’m in GA, and it’s nice that all the Southern states we regularly travel to have reciprocity with a GA Weapons License. It used to be that SC did not give GA reciprocity, and you couldn’t get a SC license without being a resident. Which was a pain, as we have friends in Beaufort we go see fairly often. Fortunately SC changed a few years ago, finally, and gives GA reciprocity.
