The GPS constellation sure does. If you used a sextant, you sure would.
I will take me kids to the playground tonight after work thanks to this wonderful Constitutional gift of DST and let you and others....
It’s not a Constitutional gift, it’s a government mandate that was repealed but the States keep on going like business as usual.
Any child that lives north of the California/Oregon border already deals with darkness when going to school in winter, so your argument is moot.
Additionally, if your concern were even remotely legitimate, why couldn’t the schools just adjust their start time rather than inconvenience the entire nation with an utterly pointless government control excursion?
As an aside: Why do we want more light for summer evenings anyway? If you personally want to have more daylight, get your sorry ass out of bed earlier rather than ruin everyone else’s sleeping routines.
We need longer evening light in the WINTER, but DST is completely upside-down in that regard.
I take thyroid meds three times a day and vitamins at night. I don’t like how it screws with that as well. I hate time changes.
I think we should use Zulu time worldwide and get rid of daylight savings and time zones. Everyone could set their watches the same.
Agree. I live in FL on the western edge of the eastern zone.
Solar noon on DST occurs at almost 2:00 pm, and DST delays getting up around sunrise to begin the day’s work.
Hate DST.
