The Russian occupiers continue to accumulate reserves on their territory for waging war against Ukraine. However, to date, the main tasks of defeating the AFU groups, reaching the administrative borders of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions and establishing control over part of Ukraine by the enemy have not been completed, and in some areas the Ukrainian defenders have launched a counteroffensive.
This was announced on Facebook by the General Staff of the armed forces of Ukraine. It is noted that detachments of mercenaries are being formed in the Russian Federation, which are ready to carry out criminal orders of Russian commanders for a fee. The armed forces of Ukraine reported that mercenary recruitment centers have been opened in Syria, where more than a thousand people have been recruited in recent days, and about 400 people have already arrived in the Russian Federation. -in the Volyn direction, the enemy continues measures to strengthen the protection of the Ukrainian-Belarusian border by units of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus, with the help of UAVs, it conducts aerial reconnaissance of certain areas along the state border.;
- in the Polessky direction, the invaders do not give up trying to overcome the barrier line along the Irpen River and gain a foothold in the area of the settlements of Bucha and Irpen. They are trying to organize defensive operations. Saboteurs are being trained for actions under the guise of military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
- the enemy did not conduct any active offensive operations in the Seversky direction. Regrouping to resume an offensive attempt in the direction of Kiev;
-in the Slobozhansky direction, the enemy focused its main efforts on restoring the losses received as a result of a decisive rebuff near the city of Kharkiv and a counterattack by the Ukrainian armed forces near the city of Izyum;
-in the Donetsk and Tavrichesky directions, the enemy continues to conduct active military operations. Due to its numerical superiority in certain areas it has partial success;
-in the South bug direction, the enemy is trying to continue the offensive in the direction of Kryvyi Rih. It has gained a foothold on The reached borders, regrouping troops and replenishing reserves. Does not abandon attempts to surround Nikolaev.
The General Staff assured that the armed forces of Ukraine confidently deter the enemy, cause him significant losses in manpower and military equipment, as well as demoralize his personnel both in the areas of combat operations and in the areas of reserve formation.
As reported by OBOZREVATEL, during the 18 days of the war against Ukraine, Russia lost more than 12 thousand personnel. Certainly no question the Russians have the might, but there is also no question many Ukrainian’s are willing to give their lives for their country.
One thing for sure, this was not the way to win the hearts and minds of the Ukrainian people.
If/when Kiev falls, this thing will go for a long time.
From experience, when you get rocketed and burned, shot at, and lose those around you, it’s a little hard to forget that -
Operation Market Garden lasted one week and was seen as an epic failure for the Allies. This thing has gone on for 19 days and the Russians have been exposed as brutal but incompetent. They can’t coordinate anything, even a breach operation with the engineers protected by smoke and fire support positions. The Russians have two enemies in the Ukraine: the Ukranians and themselves.

The official Russian military does not post death porn for the reasons of Geneva conventions, but their allied Chechen and LDNR militia are posting a lot. Uke forces get a royal beating.

Right on - Operation Market Garden was a true disaster.
From the tactical theater perspective, every time I have seen convoys moving along main loc’s, I have thought how stupid this was, as these not the real flanking maneuvers expected (in part due to FEB/MAR mud weather), and were more like funnels, which almost assuredly would be closed/challenged from behind.
A ten day plan without redundant rear flanking posture, is a horrible “shock & awe” gamble.

That’s definately now a thing of the past. I expect not many will return to Ukraine if they can begin in another country. Some have stated as much.
This way they can at last be European... and be out of the constant conflicts in Ukraine.
