Oh please! Mr. Putin (for you are channeling him), leader of Russia, is war the only way to solve such a problem? War on the nation that walked through such horrors as two world wars with you? War on the nation you claim you want to unite with as Slavic brethren? War on a nation that as your grandfather cooked for him, Stalin nearly starved to death? War on a nation so intermarried with your own Russian people that a huge percentage of your citizens are blood relatives of Ukraine? War?
As I said, Putin instigated invasion of a sovereign nation. That is the simple truth. Yes, I’m sure he had his reasons. I’m sure Ukraine’s leaders are not innocent. I’m sure American politics is much to blame, and many American leaders far from guiltless. But war, and the death of so many innocents? Really?
Besides, according to the presses, Ukraine is handling th war on their own, not that I really believe that is the case at all. But if the press wants to paint that as the reality, then it becomes even less motivation to get involved.
Then there is also the China factor. Most likely he would move on Taiwan, before he helps Putin militarily, but they may offer him support in other ways. But then we are faced with 2 fronts to contend with, and it could very quickly spiral out of control. China might actually see an advantage if Russia was decimated, for then it would be between China and the U.S. in the fight for superiority. But in the meantime China would have zero qualms with regards to innocent lives lost, because believe me, they don't care about lives being lost at all.
Russia was only an ally in both wars because Germany attacked them in both wars/ While we fought with them in WWI, we simultaneously fought against them as well.
Again, it's not our war, and the last thing I want to do is bring other innocents into into war, especially American innocents. Let Europe get involved, but keep us out of it.
