As for negotiations — I doubt anything would come out of them. As you said, Putin will not retreat from his conditions (and he cannot — otherwise the entire operation makes no sense). And among the conditions ... Zelensky can easily agree to three of them (Donbass, Crimea, neutral status)... but the fourth — and it is de-Nazification — is the stopper.
Doubt this. Odessa will be eventually taken, but it is not the next step and not even next after next....
Let me offer a prediction: after Mariupol, we will be seeing action in Slavyansk and Kramotorsk... in fact it is already going on the peripherals.
And I'd guess some action in Nikolaev before Odessa.

The Azov Neo Nazi’s were employed primarily in the eastern half ( Russian provinces) to combat the Ukrainian Seperatists. However, US units that were sent to the western training bases, did encounter and train with Azov.

I can’t accurately predict what Putin will do once he has achieved Ukrainian soil. This was a medieval conquest on an industrial level. Maybe he will turn the entire country into plantations and use people as slaves to produce crops as a source of income (my prediction). The bombing was the demolition program.
Odessa is the main location of Ukraine’s NEON production. Once Russia captures Odessa they will control 70% of the world’s NEON production with China controlling almost all the rest. In case you don’t know, NEON is required for the production of microchips. In a few days it looks like the Russians and Chinese will control almost all of the world’s NEON production. That is very bad news for us. If you think the microchip shortage is bad now, just wait until the Russians and Chinese decide to hoard NEON for their own production requirements. Modern technology in the western world will grind to a halt.
Good point—my prediction is that once Russia conquers Odessa they will want peace.

Mariupol is held by the Nazi Azov Battalion. They know what is going to happen to them if they surrender. So they’re going to fight to the death. This is why the Russians allowed a corridor to let the civilians out. Once they did that you knew they were going to mercilessly pound Mariupol until all of the Azov Battalion is wiped out.
They built a literal bridge between Crimea and the rest of Russia already. It opened a few years ago.

I can, using Georgia as a history. He is not operating in the western half. None of his equipment suggests occupation. He will bring the Ukies to the table, force them to honor the Minsk agreements, keep Crimea, fall back to the Russian Seperatist provinces, hold “ elections”, then call it a day. Exactly what he said he would do in his speech ( which apparently no one read).
All bets off if NATO intercedes, or any funny no fly zones implemented.

They exist, but there are probably more neo nazis and antisemitic soldiers in the US military. The Azov brigade uses symbols associated with the Nazis but they fight under the direction of a Jewish commander in chief, and fight against the antisemitic elements of the Russian backed separatists.
They are an example of the type of extreme nationalism present in that part of the world. Fighting in Ukraine is likely to be pretty ugly due to long held beliefs and grudges from former wars.
Somehow Putin considers it a victory to kill thousands of civilians in an area where 70 percent of them consider Russian their native language. That's typical for Russian communists and tyrants, they kill more Russians themselves than anybody else does.
I'm not defending any actual Nazi's, but remember that we here on Free Republic are considered white supremacists, racists, and homophobes that are ready to take away the rights of women and minorities by the same people writing about the Ukrainians.
Probably because the Russians aren't making much headway due to their incompetence, long supply lines, and inability to obtain air superiority.
