There is no such thing as a “fake journalist”. Journalism really doesnt come with a badge and a publisher, though governments of all kinds try to license them with such credentials in order to try to control messaging.
Ex. George Orwell went to Spain in 1936 as a foreign volunteer, and by being at the right place at the right time, ended up writing possibly the greatest piece of war reporting ever, “Homage to Catalonia”. He was, I guess, a “fake journalist”.
That “fake journalist” thing in fact is what the US MSM has tried to argue for in order to shut down US opposition media. You dont want to go to bat for the US MSM, do you?

From the reports of what happened, that wouldn’t have mattered. Guy was doing his job, and it was dangerous.
It's been a long and slippery slope that has come to such awakenings in "news". We are however at the bottom at this point. Zero credibility. It's very sad. Why should we assume any information is accurate, especially if there is any connection (official or unofficial) to the NY Times.
The gentleman was in a war zone and was killed.

Unless they have the shooter in custody along with other supporting evidence, the story is “War is hell”.
I find it a stretch to think that somehow the death of a paid liar for the NY Times could galvanize American resolve to send us into a nuclear conflict with Russia.

Then it says they were in a car. The Russians just fired on them, they turned around and fled. The reporters body was still on the ground the next day. Did they stop to push hid dead body out of the car?
This story is all over the place.
Contact the Russian soldiers and see if they have video.
A fake journalist is one who produces fake news.
The man in question was a former NYT writer, a certain propagandist and thus fake journalist.
