Don't kid yourself...The Russians don't want this to blow anymore than the Ukrainians...or the world for that matter. I do NOT believe it was deliberately targeted...and for all we know...the Ukrainians might have accidently hit it...or something in close proximity.

I'll reserve any further opinion.

Smart move by the Russkies keeping the lights on. Ukrainian sabotage would erode support from a weary public.

One of the reasons the Iraqi insurgency was less effective in the long run, was ordinary people became increasingly pissed about transmission lines being trashed by insurgents

No doubt the Russians studied the U.S approach to power plants in GW2

Yes....and there’s too many foreign forces running around on their own who could create an accident just to esculate this conflict - too many want to see a war between US and Russia.

Interesting to note, however, that Biden’s propaganda machine had all the answers.

I doubt it...but they likely have superior knowledge. Remember, when Chernobyl happened...we went to help out, too.

No one....wants a blow out.

I guess the 48 hours of fuel to meltdown can be put in the Fake News category, along with about everything else reported in the West (starting with lie that Ukraine is an innocent victim, just minding its own business).

Not to Russia.

“The plant generates 40-42 billion kWh that accounts for one fifth of the average annual electricity production in Ukraine and for almost 47% of electricity generated at Ukrainian NPPs.”
