State lawmakers push for equal rights amendment in New York’s constitution

WASHINGTON – Rep. Carolyn Maloney, D-N.Y., is leading a congressional charge for an equal rights amendment to enshrine gender equality in the U.S. Constitution as lawmakers in New York push for a broader measure on the same issue in the state Constitution.

Why not an Unequal rights amendment? It seems we’ve leaped in that direction with special allowances for anyone not white, Christian, conservatives, and typically male. Job preferences, college quotas, bail reduction/elimination even for felonies, ...

Now, congressional lawmakers are pushing for the national archivist to acknowledge the ERA’s passage regardless of the deadline.

That would require the Supreme Court to overturn Dillon v. Gloss, a 1921 Court decision, which would create utter constitutional chaos. Even the late Ruth Bader Ginsburg said that she would have to hold her nose and vote with the conservatives should that come before the Court.

There are no new "equality" rights needed beyond the constitutionally enumerated race and sex-protected rights to vote imo.

The push for new so-called "equal rights" undoubtedly translates to politically correct LGBT privileges to try to help keep desperate, alleged election stealing, elite Democrats in power.
