Georgia House passes 'constitutional carry' law that would abolish requirement for a background check or permit to carry a handgun in public as Gov. Brian Kemp vows to take bill 'across the finish line'

A bill that would abolish the need for a background check or a license to carry a gun in public passed the Georgia House on Friday, moving a step closer to the 'constitutional carry' that Gov. Brian Kemp and other Republicans have promised to deliver in an election year.

House Bill 1358 passed 94-57, moving to the Senate for more debate. The Senate passed a similar measure last month.

Republicans said it was needed to allow people to more easily protect themselves from crime, citing civil unrest seen in some 2020 protests over racial injustice in Atlanta.

Ditto Ohio. The bill is on DeWhine’s desk. He once told us, prior to his last election, that he’d sign it. Since then he’s been quietly lobbying against it, but the Ohio legislators passed it anyway, with LARGE majorities!

If Kemp steals the primary, you can guarantee that the Abrams Tank will become the next Georgia governor.

Need to take Kemp out NOW!

My sources, close to the action, but confidential, say DeWine wanted the bill to pass, to shore up his "conservative" credentials.

It will be interesting to see if he signs it, vetoes it, or allows it to become law.

If he does nothing, I read it becomes law at midnight on the 15th of March.

This could be very interesting in light of the gun control bill snuck through Congress recently.

There are a lot of states that I could see not complying with the illegal, unconstitutional attempt at infringing on the Second Amendment. Could make an interesting state’s rights issue.

2020 election was obviously, blatantly stolen in Georgia. I remember it clear as day, Trump was ahead 20 points and late at night Biden went straight up as if every vote was for Biden. I was yelling at the TV THEY ARE CHEATING even before the final results came in. They were all in on it with the Democraps, all the RINOs like Kemp wanted Trump out and look at the mess we are in today.

All true... now what?

It’s time for a Convention of States specifically to repeal the 17th Amendment and forever eliminate the Special Executive Service.

The GA State Supreme Court had it right in 1846 when Ga attempted to ban handguns.

Nunn v. State, 1 Ga. (1 Kel.) 243, at 251 (1846).

“’The right of the people to bear arms shall not be infringed.’ The right of the whole people, old and young, men, women and boys, and not militia only, to keep and bear arms of every description, and not such merely as are used by the militia, shall not be infringed, curtailed, or broken in upon, in the smallest degree; and all this for the important end to be attained: the rearing up and qualifying a well-regulated militia, so vitally necessary to the security of a free State.”

Alabama just became the 22nd Constitutional Carry state. Georgia looks set to become the 23rd. Ohio may well become the 24th. The Indiana Senate and the squish governor are blocking it in that state. Still, if 3 more states sign on, that’s a good year.

Louisiana will sign on once that Democrat governor is out after this year. DeSantis has indicated he will sign if the Florida legislature passes a Constitutional carry bill.

Well this is long overdue. For at least 5 years speaker of the House and corrupt RINO David Ralston has refused to bring CC out of committee.

Now Criminal CVP asset Brian Kemp is terrified of not getting reelected so he’s been putting the squeeze on his buddies to GRT this passed and save his zzz. That’s the only reason this is happening.

But...the senate passed S319 a clean CC bill like the other 21 states and sent it to the House. Ralston created a new bill HB1358 which slightly waters 319 down by saying that in order to constitutional carry you have to qualify for the requirements of the concealed carry permit. Which means if you have any legal proceedings going on including unpaid parking tickets you can’t CC. If you ever went to a shrink you can’t CC. It won’t be a problem for most people but its not exactly the clean bill passed in the senate.

Better than nothing and we can still vote Kemp out. 😉

But the new $1.5 trillion Federal spending bill just passed imposes NEW GUN CONTROL on the United States, including deputizing state and local police to punish those 99 percent who are innocent, but fail the NICS check for gun buying, because of poor Federal recordkeeping.
