The a hole chief of police who says this was random is as guilty as the judges who continually placate murderers and scum by letting them go. There is very little random crime. Most crime is committed by a small hardcore set of scumbags who are well known to the system because they have been promoted by the system.
If you removed from society this repeat offender subset, crime would drop like a rock. But the a hole cops, prosecutors and judges won't do that because that is the source of their gravy.
Crime pays the system. The hardcore drive the system, and the enablers want you to believe it is random and such a shame. The thug cops, the thug prosecutors, the thug judges, and the thug scumbags are all in it together, it is symbiotic and will only grow. That is why constitutional carry has passed so many states. This couple were not carrying, so were easy victims of our collective thugs and their bastard system.

The sole, one and only purpose of the wretched “criminal justice system” is to protect society at large. Over the years it has become so flaccid and corrupt that it is a menace itself. Almost invariably scum like this bastard have revealed themselves to be unfit to be free but yet are loosed upon mankind. The “system” is an abject failure.

I’ve been telling people this for many years. Also complicit in this symbiotic travesty are the pseudo-scientific professions of sociology, psychology, and psychiatry because the testimony of so-called experts in these fields is so commonly employed by defense counsel to establish exculpatory motives for the accused. That is why I’m opposed to any consideration of “motive” in criminal cases.
