Xi is the one that will likely end this. At some point Putin’s failures will become too embarrassing for him to survive.

China needs Russia as a loyal vassal so they will nudge some general in the direction of Vlad’s palace.

True but Putin is like Stalin. I don’t see how you can dislodge him from power. He is paranoid and a former KGB agent so he’ll take out threats before they emerge.

China usually stays out of stuff like this. Russia has a history of long entanglements like Afghanistan but that was long ago in a different era.

I think Putin is one who ends this at a time of his choosing.
