Texas Supreme Court deals final blow to federal abortion law challenge

The Texas Supreme Court dealt a final blow to abortion providers’ federal challenge to the state’s latest abortion restrictions Friday.

The court ruled that state medical licensing officials do not have authority to enforce the law, which bans abortions after about six weeks of pregnancy. This was the last, narrowly cracked window that abortion providers had left to challenge the law after the U.S. Supreme Court decimated their case in a December ruling.

The law has a unique private-enforcement mechanism that empowers private citizens to sue anyone who, in the law’s language, “aids or abets” an abortion after fetal cardiac activity is detected, usually around six weeks of pregnancy.

This effectively ends the federal challenge to SB 8, because there are no state officials left for the challengers to seek a federal injunction against.

Only sleep with a man you are willing to marry if you get pregnant, and make sure he is the kind of man who loves you enough to marry you. Better yet, get married FIRST, but I know that’s a lot to ask, but at least try.

This will go right back to Federal court the next day after a private citizen successfully sues and is awarded cash from an abortion provider. If they can’t sue a Texas official, then they’ll sue the private citizen enforcer. Gonna be interesting.

Just the babies who have been saved since the law went into effect makes all this worth it.

They dont do that anymore

They marry the thirsty simp wallet after fooling around from high school to thirty

And they may very well be single moms at that point looking for their captain save-a-ho

Too many stupid guys with no self-respect still line up thinking they are “men” for doing so. Just stupid dupes being played by a woman who is too old and used to keep banging chads anymore.

“ , get married FIRST, but I know that’s a lot to ask,”

Why is it a lot to expect?

How is this not going yomopen Pandora’s box on other laws, specifically guns. Why can’t a state pass the same law for guns. A person sues his neighbor because he is terrorized by him having guns just like a private citizen anywhere in the US can sue anyone involved with an abortion in TX.
Worse yet where is the 1st amendment when I share the Gospel with anyone, like it or not the Gospel has a corresponding negative of condemnation implicit in the message. So I share the Gospel with my neighborhood and a parent claims I terrorize them with a message of eternal damnation so they sue me for harassment. Win or lose any citizen could sue anyone for what you say by just claiming an offense. The 1st amendment would be history. Conservatives could be sued by individuals by claiming they hate fags or their policies are starving the poor.
The gov. of California already stated he was going to do the same law with guns. If they can sue the gun manufacturers in CA,.then they all are out of business.
I’m totally against abortion, but this just scares me.
Any legal scholars out there that can talk me out of this?
