TOMS RIVER, NJ – The rift between the Ocean County GOP and former U.S. President Donald J. Trump has come to light after the party establishment elite voted in a closed-door session, behind armed police security to unanimously endorse Republican incumbent Chris Smith for Congress.
Smith has been one of about a dozen Republican congresspeople targeted by the former President after voting in favor of the Democrat-sponsored infrastructure bill backed by Nancy Pelosi and President Joe Biden.
The vote gave President Biden a much-needed political win at a time when the President’s agenda was stalling at all levels.
The unanimous vote by the insider “County Council” went in Smith’s favor behind closed doors. Trump said he would back a candidate who runs a primary against Smith back in November.
“Any interest from good and SMART America First Republican Patriots to run primary campaigns against Representative Chris Smith?” Trump said. “You will have my backing…There is “almost” nobody worse!”

I live in Ocean County. The GOP here is virtually nonexistent and hasn’t won a decent majority at any level in years.
Smith is an f’ing RINO.

If I lived there I would primary him. Just one fundraiser with Trump and you’d have all the $$$ you’d need.
I used to live in OC Tuckerton which is not his district but worked in Lakewood and met and spoke to his Dad numerous times.
It is a shame that Smith turned out to be such a jerk. His dad was a good man, served along side Bush Sr. in WW2
Hard to find anyone more pro life than Chris Smith. Has been the strongest supporter in Congress.
That would be a textbook example of: Hard men creating Weak men.
New Jersey Republicans would be Democrats anywhere else.

That may well be true.
But it’s also hard to find any Republican more to the left on pretty much every single other issue; he’s scarcely different from any liberal Democrat on all other issues. Smith is the N.J. version of Pennsylvania Democrat Bob Casey (Senior, that is; not his dim bulb son).
This is the ONE congressional district in New Jersey that could be described — by Jersey standards, not national standards — as “solidly Republican”, thanks mainly to Ocean County. We can do infinitely better than Smith, but not if Ocean County RINOs are in full squish mode, which sadly it seems like they are.
I would tend to agree with that but why cant we get a Pro-lifer that is also fiscally responsible, which Chris is not?

Porter had been censured by RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel after saying he wanted to blast satanic music in the parks to scare out Orthodox Jewish families.
After January 6th, Porter said Trump and his supporters can “Get right the f-ck out of this party”.

The Republican Party is a mess in many places. It really cant be called a Party in the political sense. I support President Trump and his policies and do my best on the local level, but its dead without Trump. The people thinking otherwise must have missed the latest 1.5 trillion sham.
And VOTE against the RINO-traitor in the primary if this is happening in your district.
No more RINOs = No more stolen elections.
That is the only way it will happen.
Ocean County GOP is a corrupt garbage dump of RINOs who are basically just lawyers lining their own pockets and public pensions.
I don’t think they even Endorsed Trump in 2016 or 2020. In 2016 I believe they endorsed Kasich
However Ocean County is a giant GOP strong hold, democrats rarely win here so a more conservative guy would certainly win.
I plan on voting against Smith
However he does have a big following here, so it isn’t going to be easy
And in New Jersey every party offical is mobbed up anyway.
So who cares who they endorse?
Considering this is NJ, someone with such strong records on national security, human dignity (ie prolife), and personal liberties is miraculous. A trade off I doubt you’ll find on any other candidate in NJ.

He and his brown shirt minions on the zoning and planning board cost Jackson Township millions in lawsuits discriminating against Jewish land owners and Jewish attorneys.
