Last night on my way home I noticed that diesel is $2.349/litre.
That’s $6.85 USD/USG. For diesel.
We are in for a world of hurt.

Dropped some cash on a new 2022 (134mpg) Honda Grom (moped/motorcycle) for my 38 mile round-trip, side road capable commute to work! $6 a week in fuel vs $60+ in my diesel truck... should fuel go higher (which it will), easily offsets the costs of the insurance ($180/yr) and associated maintenance expenses. Net gain!

Friend just sent a photo of gas pump at Orange County Costco this morning, price is $4.88.
The $7 stories are from one station in the middle of nowhere, it’s like 45 miles in either direction to gas. People buy a few gallons when caught short.

I drove by our local gas stations yesterday and gas has now gone into the $6 range. Biden’s policies are working.

I’m not interested in a motor scooter (yet). At least my 2016 Scion iM can get over 38 mpg on the highway.
