Remember, several US Presidential candidates have also appeared on SNL, including the Real TRUMP!
“I don’t see Putin in a hurry to use them”
I agree. The blowback theory states you don’t drop nukes on the continent on which you live, particularly if it’s next door. That theory is descended from the you don’t sh@t where you live theory.
Without the nuke card, Russia is nothing.
Re: 13 - Agreed.
Do you notice that very few people including FReepers can lay out in detail the national security interest of the US in regards to the Ukraine and Russia conflict?
Well of course it is you ninny.
Calling Biden's "bluff" with possibly billions of lives at stake is the height of folly.
Famous last words.
“We should have our people involved directly, but giving Ukraine weapons of all kinds is OK. Biden is a coward, which we already knew.”
I meant we should not have our people involved directly.
“Yeah...reminds me of folks who said they had perfect knowledge that Putin was not going to invade Ukraine.”
I was one of them, but I learned that Putin DOES NOT BLUFF.
Putin set town a set of terms to keep him from invading. Everyone thought he was bluffing, including Zelensky, who called a national holiday for the day of our first prediction of attack.
But, obviously, Putin wasn’t bluffing when he went into Ukraine - so why should we believe he’s bluffing this time?
If we want to ‘call his bluff’, we’d best be ready for The Day After.
“Naa, it will be the US or Western Europe. Putin wants to keep Ukraine intact, but doesn’t care about the people who treat him like crap.”
Perhaps, but I wouldn’t say Ukrainians have exactly been cordial to him - including Zelenskyy’s taunting.
Longer I hear this idiot from Ukraine speak, the more I think he is a very bad man.
The problem . . . Zelensky had never taken Putin seriously in the first place. He told Putin to F- off instead of sit down and negotiate.
While reading about Ukraine right before this all started, I was shocked at the casualness of the people -- eating at restaurants, partying. None of them seemed to have taken Putin seriously.
Reminded me of Poland (especially Warsaw), right before Sept. 1939. Poles were overconfident; restaurants and nightclubs were full. People were dancing on the rim of a volcano, but didn't know it.
Zelensky sounds like he’s calling On Putin to dare to use it........
Zelensky needs to stop fueling the fire.
