MOSCOW, March 9. /TASS/. Moscow believes that Washington needs to inform the international community about the military biological programs that were implemented in Ukraine, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said at a briefing on Wednesday.
"We confirm that the facts that came to the light during Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine point to the Kiev regime’s attempts to urgently cover up the traces of military biological programs," she noted. "It was not about peaceful scientific research because these programs were financed by the US Department of Defense," she added.
"We believe that the US Department of Defense and the US presidential administration need to inform the international community - doing it officially rather than through their ‘talking heads’ - about the programs that were implemented in Ukraine," Zakharova emphasized.
"Your research, your biological materials, particularly used for military purposes, turned up in Ukraine in the first place. What were you doing there? It is another continent, you don’t share a common border and there are no bases of yours," she noted. The Russian diplomat stressed that the world needed to know what the US intended to do there, what was the goal and how much investment had been made into Ukraine’s biological activities.
Zakharova went on to say that employees of the Ukrainian biological laboratories had provided documents about the emergency destruction of highly dangerous pathogens, including those of plague, anthrax and cholera, which had taken place on February 24.

The first docs I saw proposing/allocation for the funding of research labs in Ukraine were dated 2005. George W Bush was President.
I just heard the Pentagram spokesman say that the Russian charges are “laughable and totally untrue”. I find it strange that just yesterday Victoria Nuland admitted that the labs existed and that they contained dangerous pathogens and that the Russians were trying to get their hands on them. So who is lying, the State Department or the Pentagram?

Why do we have to produce our biological weapons in Ukraine? They are not know for having top notch research institutions.
Why not give the work to American universities? We have plenty of smart, world-class researchers right here who would love nothing more than being involved in efforts to create biological pathogens to eliminate large numbers of people.

I can understand mistrusting much of the mainstream media. Most modern reporters and editors are biased. Most modern graduates of journalism schools are worse reporters than the average self trained reporter of the early 20th century.
But to then buy hook, line, and sinker a bunch of conspiracy theories pushed by Tass, of all sources is utterly insane.
Of course Ukraine has bio labs, so does Russia, so does Poland, so does Germany, The United Kingdom and most every country in Europe, not to mention The US, Canada, Australia, Japan, Taiwan, etc…
Infectious and other diseases are studied world wide. To leap from that fact to a claim of biological warfare, based only reports from Putin’s paid shills defies belief. But here we have otherwise rational Freepers doing so instead of actually researching the facts using unbiased Pre-Invasion sources.
Most people who are buying this crap are not biologists and not familiar with how scientific research actually works.
