S&P down to 3900, then up to 4800 then down to 2000. Only liars, drunks and scoundrels tell you not to time the market.

Putin is shipping Russian oil to Venezuela. Once the US sanctions are lifted the Venezuelans are then going to ship the oil to the US as “Venezuelan oil” when the Venezuelan oil industry is in fact broken.

This is why the Dems visited Venezuela recently. To put their deal for Putin in place.

He should have just told Americans to buy 10 shares of Chevron 6 months ago for $800 and sell it today at $1600 and use the $800 profit to offset your annual gas price increase.

I have no idea. Why do you think our government is purposely driving up prices of everything, especially fuel?

Major recession coming our way

No matter how much Biden proclaims this to be the fault of Putin, it will accrue to Biden. HE is making the decisions.

Jimmy Carter should be typing a thank you letter to Biden as we speak-someone has taken the title as “worst president ever” away from Carter at last-now malaise, stagflation and barely being able to afford utilities and groceries belong to Biden-congratulations, you worthless POS...

Agreed. I don’t think the regime has thought this through though. Unless as someone said they will use high fuel costs to justify mail in voting again.

Biden announces ban on US imports of Russian oil, warns gas prices will 'go up further'

Biden just greenlighted gas prices going well over $5/gal and skyrocketing to $10/gal soon.

ChicagoConservative27, what are gas prices in your neck of the woods? $4.79/gal here.

Yes,

None of this would have happened.

IMHO, even Covid was bullshit (blown out of proportion in an election year). These things happen today because you have a centralized government with vast powers that allow them to know everything (no privacy), to regulate anything (the light bulb you use and how much water your toilet uses per flush), to side step all Constitutional rights based on some argument of public safety, national security, or social equality.

Anything government touches becomes "political." It is a political machine! Duh-

Government is a political beast. People are full of sin. The difference between yesterday and today is that government has these powers whereas 50 years ago they were far more limited. The basic nature of man never changes, it's just certain areas where ***intentionally*** off limits and the US Constitution which was written with the intent to limit government powers has today been essentially suspended. Not one US Bill of Right still stands unabridged. Government has figured out how to break out of the Constitutional prison it was in, which the founding fathers built to put it in.

Democrats and Republicans are at fault. We live in the age of "big government" and even so-called conservatives support more government as long as it's for their ideas, to enforce their morals, their national security agenda. Who do we have to thank for the Patriot Act? So called conservatives! Democrats simply have different themes. For them it's social justice (in all it's forms: race, sex, sexual orientation, global, age - they are on their far left end complete egalitarians) and the environment.

But here we are. MOST Americans today get something from the government, some form of payout may that be their subsidized home loan, student loans, social security, medicare, free school lunches for their kids, an earned income tax credit... Even the rich in America get government cheese, tax breaks and subsidies for their expensive electric cars, etc. How do you now roll this massive dependence where almost everyone is getting a payment from their neighbor back? How do you again restore personal culpability/responsibility? How do you shrink a government bureaucracy which today is the biggest employer nationally, with the VA being the biggest hospital system in the country... back down?
