Yes. And us supplying the Afghanis against the Russians, and the Iranians supplying the Iraqi resistance and then ISIS, etc. etc. We didn't go to war with Iran because of that. Now, when they had their actual general taking operational command in Iraq...we finally took him out. And still no open warfare between us and Iran.

I think the title is wrong.. Sounds like Poland is providing MIG-29s to the U.S. not the Ukraine.

We are obligated to respond fully to any attack on a NATO country per the agreement. We are obligated to defend the country. If the Russians deploy tactical weapons it would likely be from within Ukraine's borders. So we would nuke there. We aren't nuking mainland Russia, and Russia wouldn't launch from mainland Russia. No one is launching ICMB's at one another unless something is dramatically wrong with the red phone.
The stuff of all out massive decapitations strikes is from the 80's. You can escalate a nuclear war too. Even in the 80's it likely would have been a slow steady escalation.

CLICK BAIT Headline, it says TO Ramstein Air Base and nothing about giving them to ukraine ! ru tryin to start a war?

Or we can just insist that the Russians comply with their obligations under the 1994 Budapest Memorandum in which they promised to respect the independence, sovereignty, and (specifically) borders of Ukraine. They blatantly violated that when they attacked Ukraine and seized the Crimea in 2014.
To: Whatever Works
The Poles are just trading them in to the US for better planes. The big action will be whomever gives them to Ukraine.

Russia is recruiting mercenaries out of Syria. If that is okay, then Ukraine getting men and material out of other countries is likewise allowed.
To: Calvin Cooledge
Thanks. I never knew that. They know well what devils the Russians seem to get into power.

Then maybe we can punish China for attacking Japan back in 1937, eh.

It is fake news.. Poland is supplying nothing to the Ukraine, they are getting their planes upgraded by the U.S. government.
To: CodeJockey
10,000+ nukes launched and no one would even be alive to laugh.

There’s at least one individual on FR who advocated for launching on Russia - “better to get it over with, than to wait,” he wrote.

As long as it keeps our troops out of it and NATO defies Putin, I’m happy with this decision.
The world cannot sit back and allow a madman to carry out an unprovoked war against innocent civilians.
And since it’s in Europe’s backyard, let them fight this war.

Not really much there either. This is an interesting post...

Complete BS! We provoked Russia into Ukraine, it was provoked intentionally. The latest was just 3 days before Russia went in, the hoe was over there bragging that Ukraine was joining NATO.

Then maybe we can punish China for attacking Japan back in 1937, eh. "China attacking Japan" -- a perfect analogy for your argument here. So you're claiming that it was China that attacked Japan...in Beijing???
Thanks for illustrating you can't keep who is the aggressor straight.

“Wonder what deal the Poles got.”
Part of what they’re expected to receive are an indeterminate number of A-10C to replace the Su-25 aircraft that are being given to the Ukrainians. Poland is definitely trading up on this deal.

We lost ~10,000 aircraft in Vietnam, thanks to Russian gear.
Not to mention LBJ, Robert McNamara and their advisors who were literally telling NV where the missions were going to hit 24-48 hours before they were launched.
These traitorous idiots thought this demonstrated our ability to hit wherever we wanted to and intimidated the enemy.
