The authorities of the Republic of Poland, after consultations between the President and the Goverment, are ready to deploy – immediately and free of charge – all their MIG-29 jets to the Ramstein Air Base and place them at the disposal of the Government of the United States of America.
At the same time, Poland requests the United States to provide us with used aircraft with corresponding operational capabilities. Poland is ready to immediately establish the conditions of purchase of the planes.
The Polish Government also requests other NATO Allies – owners of MIG-29 jets – to act in the same vein.

Domestic and US pressure made this inevitable. Wonder what deal the Poles got.
Get ready to rumble ...

Time is running out to prepare for whatever lies ahead, but hey at least there’s no more mean tweets.

is NATO trying to get Poland to do its dirty work? I hope they got more than an empty promise from Biden.

Just noticed: delivery from Ramstein Air Base, to make sure we and the Krauts are dragged in. Smart on the Poles part.

It would be better to supply drones. Either way, if you think gas prices and inflation are bad now, just wait till a nuke is let off.

In other words, giving them to the US, not Ukraine. They are leaving that to us. This would be an act of war on our part, PERIOD. Once we are in, China is soon to follow. Buckle-up, it's about to get rough.

Poland said no, they are giving the planes to us. If we do it, it's WW III.

... probably a similar number of refurbished F-16’s compatible with the ones they already operate along with a nice pilot training package. We (the US Taxpayer) just paid for that.
And if those planes never get delivered they’ll get snapped up by the contractors that simulate OPFOR training at Top Gun & Red Flag for pennies on the dollar.

It would be a short war. Russia doesnt sound like they have adequate conventional forces to do what it takes to wwin this.
So do they pull back to fight another day, or use nonconventional resources? The use of nonconventional would be a very short war.

You are accurate.
This gives the Poles a chance to stay out of nuclear exchange between Russia and US.
Smart of them.

Smart move on the Poles’ part.

[I wonder if we are watching the beginning of WWIII.]
Russia sent top-of-the-line Russian jets and AA batteries to North Korea and North Vietnam. We lost ~10,000 aircraft in Vietnam, thanks to Russian gear.

Returning the favor by sending crapped-out Russian gear to Ukraine is a tiny down payment on what the Russians did to us in the Orient.
