Wrong assessment of the problem, and very definitely the wrong course of action to be taken. The real problem and the real answer is quite simple - rescind virtually every regulation put in place by the current regime since January 21, 2021, and allow the oil companies do what they have honed their skills for years to do most efficiently, i.e., extract, transport and refine the quantities of petroleum and natural gas that lie beneath our OWN territorial land mass and continental shelf in our territorial waters. We have enough to supply ourselves and provide a very favorable balance of trade with the rest of the world for perhaps a hundred years or more.
Conversion of energy sources into useful products and services is the key to wealth building, and by the genius that is the capitalistic system, extend the opportunity to share in that wealth to every citizen of the realm.
