But at the same time, natural gas prices have increased worldwide and are at multiyear highs in the United States this heating season, Stella said.

“Wholesale natural gas prices jumped 46% on Jan. 27, 2022 — the biggest one-day gain ever,” Stella said via email. This was, he said, “precisely the day that prices are set for the following month.”

He said electricity would be 6% to 12% more expensive, resulting in an average cost increase of $32 to $57 this heating season.

Congress has just a few short months to ramp up production for next Winter. If Congress fails to act and instead does what they are best at, leading from behind, the 2022-2023 Winter heating season will be catastrophic for homeowners.

Congress had better get started, it takes months and months to ramp this up. They can't say they were taken by "surprise" and it's "unexpected".

If there’s not a Democrat bloodbath at the ballot box in November, that will be proof positive of massive fraud.

If the Republicans get the majorities and fail to pass legislation (daily if need be) opening up America’s resources for energy independence and costs reduction, it’ll be proof positive of uniparty collaboration.

The next steps from that point will get ugly.

They won’t act. It will be a disaster. People will not be able to pay for heat, and the news media will tell them how lucky they are that the benevolent government is providing heating centers.

The people in the blue part of Ohio will suffer, but will be relatively happy because no mean tweets. I can’t put into words what I think of the morons around here.

“Republicans” could have 300 house seats and 75 Senators and they would still be useless

The Reps will do what they do. Open up the revenue stream to their personal finances, and push whatever their donors want pushed. Not much of note will be passed, and the GOP will say: At least we stopped the progressives.

Unlike the Ukrainians, we will not fight, it won’t get ugly, it will be just one more rotation around the toilet bowl.

Correct. Force Biden to veto common sense legislation that works lower the cost of energy, eliminate imported foreign oil/gas, and allow us to export.

He’ll veto it, but it’ll set us up for another Democrat bloodbath in 2024. It’s up to us to primary the RINOs and elect solid, America first conservatives.

She sure acts like it, but she's auditioning for a show on MSNBC to cash in. That's what they all want, to make millions from their government positions.

My January heating (natural gas) bill in 2000 was $64.

January 2021 was $84.

January 2022 was $124.

I live in a small 2-bdr apartment of about 800 square feet.

Yeah! Inflation is upon us.

My February 2022 bill is coming in a day or two and I am dreading it.
