But you told me your source. You BELIEVE Vladimir Putin. Have a nice day.

Who should I believe? Put-up, or shut-up. Don't worry, it's a rhetorical question. I know you can not provide a single source that has any more credibility then Putin.

I posted this on another thread yesterday:

I have spent the last 20+ years supporting surveillance systems for govt customers. I obviously can’t and won’t discuss capabilities, but there is a bigger problem in that even if I could tell you, or even if the surveillance was available to see, would anyone here believe it?

There is an element here that have decided nothing is believable, unless of course it fits their view already, then it must be the correct view and anyone who believes otherwise is either a putinista, a Soros NWO soldier, or a DU troll. There are people here who will berate and insult others for either their differing knowledge or their differing opinion, all while claiming they know what ‘truth’ is and the rest is propaganda. Frankly, FR is hardly a discussion forum anymore and I am disappointed that mods do not enforce rules of decorum while flame wars get nasty, yet they pull down other posts that may just be unappreciated humor.

Fact is, the only way to sift through all the war stories for any truth is to be open to hear all sides and let the cumulative picture form for yourself. That takes time and patience. It helps to have worked in a community where this type of information or these type of events were part of your background, but even then not all the data will support the same conclusion. You have to take it like a jury and look at the preponderance of evidence.

So I don’t use any single source, and I have no illusions about one side being an innocent angel while the other is pure evil. But from the 60,000 foot view, Putin invaded an independent country and is targeting civilians as much or more than military targets. There is no justification for that. Ukraine’s internal problems were Ukraine’s. Putin injected himself into this, without being asked, without making a case before any U.N. body or court, and ignoring the worlds demands he find another way to address his grievances. He is the aggressor. Hundreds, no thousands, of sources to support this right in front of you on almost any tv station, radio station, or news outlet you turn on for the last 2 weeks.

So to answer your question, believe whatever you want. But don’t make claims you can’t back up. And if someone cites a Fox News report or bbc, don’t be one of those idiots who says you can’t trust them when you turn around and cite Putin and Pravda as your source.
