Monday on FNC’s “Fox & Friends,” former House Speaker Newt Gingrich sounded the alarm over the threat posed by China as the Russian invasion of Ukraine continues.
Gingrich warned that Chinese President Xi Jinping “is fully as tough as [Russian President Vladimir] Putin” and suggested President Joe Biden should “prove that we’re prepared to defend Taiwan” should the Chinese Communist Party invade.

We are not prepared to defend Taiwan.
We won’t even defend our OWN border.
If we had a leader that had some balls, and a brain then defending Taiwan would be easier than Ukraine. Just put a nuclear battle group in the area and say “ let’s get it on !”
Our Navy and naval air assets are far superior to that of China.
All of that military is useless when we won’t have a country.
The invasion ramped up to 2 million last year.
The parties sold out to China decades ago. Now they want US to defend Taiwan after building up China. Newt is a loon. It’s hard to find a politician who sold out America more than him. NAFTA, GATT, trade with China, amnesties, etc.
We should be using all those assets to defend our border—first.
Current US policy is like sending the police to defend a neighboring town while the criminals are storming your back door.

It is amazing that, in view of the Russia situation, some people act like this is a good time to start a war with China.
China has even less real combat experience, literally none since their Vietnam debacle in the late 70's, than Russia. And in many ways a tougher nut to crack. This should give them pause, but we'll see. Pride can come before a fall.

Biden will NEVER defend Taiwan..the difference between China and Russia is simple as far as the left is concerned..with Russia they have an enemy in Putin, they despise him, they blame him for 2016 and they will ALWAYS believe that Putin gave the election to Trump..so they hate Putin..with China, the left is emboldened to China, they adore Xi, they thank him everyday for creating the China virus, it is the main reason why Trump is no longer President(other than the cheating of course) so whatever China wants, China will get

True. Things have changed. The GOP is more border security centric now. No GOP President is going to win any nomination without agreeing to serious hardcore border security.
