Boris Johnson lays out six-point response to Russian aggression

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson laid out a six-step approach to helping Ukraine in an op-ed published in The New York Times on Sunday.

"Never in my life have I seen an international crisis where the dividing line between right and wrong has been so stark, as the Russian war machine unleashes its fury on a proud democracy. Russia’s reckless attack on the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant reminds us just how grave the stakes are for everyone," wrote Johnson.

Though he praised President Biden and European leaders, Johnson said not enough was being done to help Ukraine.

The first step to aid Ukraine, according to Johnson, is to "mobilize an international humanitarian coalition." He wrote that he would be meeting with various western leaders this week to discuss "creating the widest possible coalition" to expose what is taking place in Ukraine.

The British prime minister also called for further defense equipment to be provided to Ukraine as well as stronger economic pressure on Russian President Vladimir Putin. However, he also maintained that the international community must stay open to diplomacy and de-escalation.

As a fourth step, Johnson said actions must be taken to prevent Russia's actions from being normalized.

"The lesson from Russia’s invasion of Georgia in 2008 and seizure of Crimea in 2014 is that accepting the results of Russian aggression merely encourages more aggression," said Johnson. "We cannot allow the Kremlin to bite off chunks of an independent country and inflict immense human suffering and then creep back into the fold."

It’s tough to be anything but feckless after your supposed allies Joe and Hunter sell Ukraine to Russia.

Sounds like sending Social Workers to Ukraine.

What the hell does England have to do with this? Haven’t they caused enough misery around the world? There is literally not a single thing that should drag them in.

Maybe Britain can set an example and withdraw from Ireland.

Don’t you know? Everything they can show us on the internet is now our concern. It’s a global community, now. Someone else’s problem is everyone’s problem.

FTA - “mobilize an international humanitarian coalition.”

Wokespeak for “give billions of taxpayer dollars to corrupt NGOs under the guise of alleviating the suffering of the world’s poor and downtrodden, almost none of which will actually go to anyone in need, and for which no accountability will ever be required!”

#1 Case in point - The Clinton Global Initiative which received hundreds of millions of dollars to “rebuild” Haiti after the earthquake. Seen any pictures of Haiti lately? Does it look like it was “rebuilt”? Nope! But take a look at the houses and bank accounts of the Clinton family...hmmm, they sure seem to be doing well, don’t they?

“Sounds like sending Social Workers to Ukraine.”

The Clinton Foundation has experience in responding to the crises in Haiti.

Anyone might be better than Theresa May, but ambition could make Boris worse than May.

How about the Ukrainian people? You know: The ones being bombed, shelled, and driven out of their homeland?

Very simple really! The US, UK, and Russia signed the Budapest Memorandum of 1994 in which Ukraine, Belarus, and Kazakhstan agreed to have Russia remove all their nuclear weapons. In exchange the sovereignty and borders of the states having their nuclear weapons removed are guaranteed by the US, UK, and Russia. Russia and Belarus obviously VIOLATED the terms of the agreement.

Johnson used conservatives to get into power, but he’s not a conservative. How often does that happen. Britain did nothing to help Georgia when Bush chimp was president. Nothing when Purple Lips let Russkies have their way with Crimea. Now all hairy chested.Particpated in illegal Gulf war 2. Participated in illegal wars on Serbia and Libya. Can only hope Argentinia takes back the Falklands from the pommie aholes and the sooner the better.
