My problem wasn’t the invasions - it was fun kicking the Taliban out of power and Saddam deserved what he got for violating the agreement that ended the first Gulf War.
My problem was the ‘nation-building’, pathetic. In Afghanistan, we should have hunted down and decapitated the leadership, and then left. Similar in Iraq...replace Saddam with some other Hashemite, then leave.
The 'leadership' on the ground there was literally the CIA.
Afghanistan war as cover for placing CIA where money laundering, human trafficking and drug smuggling could easily take place.
Powerful Alliance forces ended Afghanistan, at the same time humiliating biDen and his sycophants with the $85B left in arms, abandoning US citizens, and leaving servicemen and women to the 'deaths'.
Most Americans supported the invasions, then the nation building sucked and they changed their minds.
Can’t find many of those original supporters anymore. They’ve all changed their stripes.
