Disgraced Hollywood movie producer Harvey Weinstein has been caught with contraband in jail, accoridng to reports.
Weinstein is currently being held in L.A. County jail as he awaits trial for rape.
He was caught with contraband Milk Duds in November, prompting a reprimand from L.A. County jail guards, according to prisoner records.
The Milk Duds were found during a search on November 10, after Weinstein had a face-to-face meeting with Shawn Burkley, one of his attorneys.
Weinstein claimed to the guards that he had brought the Milk Duds with him when he was extradited from New York last July.
The former movie mogul is currently serving a 23-year sentence after being convicted in New York, and after California convicts him, he will never see the outside of jail again.
While the contraband is only a minor infraction, they add up in jail and can impact your living conditions, housing facility, parole status, and many other things.
Weinstein’s rep Juda Engelmayer gave TMZ, the media outlet that broke the story, a statement from Harvey who sounded nervous.
“This was an innocent misunderstanding,” Weinstein claims.

“It will not happen again.
“I have been a model inmate, following the rules and regulations and I am sincerely sorry.”
According to TMZ, “HW’s attorney Mark Werksman tells TMZ the judge took no action against Weinstein — nor did the jail. Mark, Shawn, and his other lawyers are still visiting him … with the same cursory checks in effect.
“Weinstein is currently being held at the Correctional Treatment Center — a medical unit within the Twin Towers jail in downtown Los Angeles … as he currently awaits trial.”
Weinstein’s attorneys, Mark Werksman and Alan Jackson, also issued an apology:
“We have been informed about this and are very sorry it happened.
“It had not happened before, and never happened since.
“Harvey has been a model inmate and intends to continue as such.”

Weinstein is still wondering why he is in jail while Clinton, Cuomo, Cosby and all the others are walking around free.

Or Alec Baldwin. A cop accidentally shoots and kills a perp putting the life of her fellow cops in danger and she gets arrested, tried and convicted of 1st and 2nd degree manslaughter and sentenced to 2 years in prison and Alec Baldwin is portrayed as a victim and left alone.
Yeah who saves milk duds for 8 months?....that doesn’t make sense.
OH MY GOD.. Let him have his mild duds. I watch true crime shows. I think I have seen most all of them. It is shocking how little time some murderers get for the most heinous acts known to man. I am not saying what he did was ok.. I am saying that the punishment needs to fit the crime, not what the media wants.
Milk Duds? How many knives, cell phones and bags of drugs did the guards have to pass to find the Milk Duds?
It makes sense if there’s drugs in them.
Contraband is Contraband regardless of what it is.
If it’s food or drink that’s not available for purchase in the prison commissary I’m thinking it’s prohibited.
