Surprised any free press remained in Russia - Putin pretty much got rid of all the free press by the mid 2000s.

Do we have free press? It’s a serious question.

” At home, Russian state news television channels, the primary source of information for most Russians across the country, have presented the conflict as a special operation aimed at ousting an illegitimate and antidemocratic government, in line with the Kremlin’s portrayal of the invasion.”

Also in line with the descriptions used by a surprisingly large number of FReepers.

Things MUST NOT be going well in Ukraine for them to have to not allow honest reporting, else they would want the news shouted from the rooftops.

What is good is that RT America, Novosti, and other Russian media outlets are being kicked out of USA, and other soft networks of FSB disinformatizya which has exploited a segment of US media and SNS circles is also in the process of being smashed, and I am glad that the level of information is going to be elevated, the propaganda points being deployed by the Soviets “active measures” to, for example, blame it on Ukraine, or say Russia only hits military targets, or America caused us to attack, or that Russia is the one under seige, will all soon be flushed. Good to see it happen. Been sick of seeing them exploit the mindshare, and good segment of rightside media and talking points in USA.

Not only do we have a Propaganda Media in the United States, we have one that actively attacks free citizens.

Their korporate officers need to be charged for every penny of illegal political contributions-in-kind.
