When I voted in my town, I was asked which primary I was voting in, republican or democrat. Both were handled by the same staff, therefore no extra staff was needed.

Which is now MOST voting precincts are handled. You don’t even have to go to YOUR polling site during the primary early-voting...you can walk into any polling location in your county and vote.

Exactly.

I had a selection on a touch screen that only I could see, R or D.

The guy at the desk only checked my ID and voter registration card.
