We had a creek on the property where my children were raised. Keeping the boys out of it was a full time endeavor. I miss those days.

This is good. Listening to the first 15 minutes of Lunch Bucket Joe’s rambling speech last night, you would think he single-handedly stopped Putin in the Ukraine and sent him fleeing back to Moscow. In truth, he has done NOTHING to help anyone.

"...he'd likely wave his arms around, drop a few juicy "dog-faced pony soldier" zingers, then suddenly remember it's tapioca night and disappear quicker than a fart in a tornado..." That certainly explains all of the trips back to Delaware...

Crawdad hunting - Oh yeah - Battle Creek Regional Park in Minnesota in the late ‘60s. And salamanders around the window wells. And gophers in the nearby fields.

The world sees you Joe, and knows you for what you really are; a pitiful little crawdad, with one claw slightly larger than the other, and absolutely no will to stand and fight - for honor, God or country. Especially when there's an open escape route to your 6 o'clock. The only thing missing is the muddy trail left behind, but perhaps there is one and the press willfully ignores it. There's a trail, all right. Joe left one in his audience with the Pope.

I used to do the same when I lived outside on Oneonta, NY. Had a small stream on the property. Used to see crawdads a lot.
