In #Russia, the Ministry of Defence said that 498 Russian servicemen had died in #Ukraine since Russian gofces invaded on 24 February.
This figure is probably a serious underestimation of Russian casualties.
So its 5k dead and 20k wounded.

498, 2000 or 5000 is huge for 1 week of fighting.

Russia publishes its first casualty figures in Ukraine, admitting 498 soldiers killed and a further 1500 injured. That’s a remarkable admission given they were claiming days ago to have suffered no casualties whatsoever.
If the Ministry of Defense is admitting casualty numbers, then it would appear that Putin is losing support within the upper echelon of Russia’s armed forces. It should be noted that casualty figures are political dynamite within Russia and never before has the Defense Ministry relased such figures which will be used by Putin’s growing number of opponents.

Ukraine claims 5000, Russia says 500. 2000 does seem like a realistic number.
So the number is somewhere between 500 and 6000 (Ukrainian number). One thing we know for sure is that body counts only really impact the war in America’s case ie. Blackhawk Down. It was failed way to keep score in Vietnam and I think also for ISIS for that matter, (how many key ISIS leaders have they killed?)

Every time I see pictures of captured Russians, they always look so bad.
Not the best looking army in the world.
You know Russia is losing.
All they keep yelling is Nuclear War, Nuclear War. Fear us because we have nuclear weapons. Blah, Blah, Blah.
I’ve learned over my years investing in the stock market, whenever it looks like the end of the world, BUY. End of world only comes once.
The truth lies somewhere above the Russian estimate and below the Ukrainian estimate. These are modern armies seriously fighting, casualties are to be expected.
