Ukraine is just a pawn between NATO and Russia, and getting the worst of it.

No, it is NOT.

Ukraine simply put doesn't want to be part of Russia.

If Russia could prove that Ukraine had nothing to fear in that respect then there would be no clamour to join NATO.

Why did Ukraine want to join NATO in the first place? Because of what Putin did in Georgia, because of Putin constantly saying that he wanted "little Russia" to join with Muscowy.

you guys fall for Putin's line of "this is NATO expanding east" - while forgetting that NATO didn't go out currying Poland etc. to join -- let's take ESTONIA for example - the people and the government have been desperately joining NATO, the EU, the eurozone, every kind of alliance.

WHY?

Because Putin wants to gobble them up

And the Donbas region does not want to be part of Ukraine, plain and simple.

Everything you accuse Russia of doing now, Ukraine has been doing far worse in the Donbas for the past decade...with zero complaints from the liberal world.
