Do you really put the Baltic States in the same threat category for Russia as Ukraine? I completely dismiss that premise. If you check historical invasion routes into Russia and the comparative military capabilities involved, I think you’d dismiss it as well. You make an excellent point though. We fought the Vietnam and Korean War to stop the very same domino effect you’ve reminded me off. I appreciate your spotting that aggressive, expansionist and extremely destabilizing policy of NATO, considering its reason for existence hasn’t been around for thirty years.

I hope there aren’t any Russian junior pilots who could accidentally get off a shot that results in Alas Babylon. That is always a real danger. Hope negotiations proceed quickly.

Historically, the Swedes attacked the Russians via the Baltics, and Prussia also, as late as the end of the 18th Century.
