I believe this small measures look like a test, see how much gov in conjunction with big tech can disrupt every day life by removing the electronic conviences everyone has come to rely on. The trouble is that these tests will only encourage some smart folks to create work arounds to these disruptions and maybe we learn, maybe by doing without how to live a simpler life.

They already do stuff like that in China, so you know Big Tech already has the capability (and yes, that’s part of where we’re heading).

The Russians are getting an even better lesson than the Canadian Resistance about relying on the TechnoDictators and electronic "cash".

The Russians already went through this after the fall of the Soviet Union.
Apparently, their banking system was obliterated for a few years afterwards.
The smart ones learned.

Hysteria is spreading. It’s hurting Russian citizens, not the Russian government.
This is a bad precedent. If payment processors decide to block payments to countries based on their determination, they will do it for reasons other than armed aggression, like not ratifying climate theories.
Canceling the whole country means canceling the whole country. Most citizens are not part of the invasion.

I’m a computer guy, worked on cellular system standards, developed numerous vertical market apps.
Even given that, I’d never trust any of those payment systems other than as a disposable convenience. They can be yanked at any time for any reason.

The important thing is that BURISMA is the only game in Eastern and much of Western Europe.
Can't find the Fifteen Million Dollars BURISMA gave to the Biden family on the news?
That's because the stories have been deleted.
Again,
The important thing is that BURISMA is now the only energy game in Eastern and much of Western Europe.

This kind of punishment of the innocent could affect you in the near future. It is part of the illogical and vicious cancel culture.
How dependent are you on big tech? What options will you have if you find yourself locked out for unspecified reasons?

How many other payment processors are looking at Apple and Google and correctly telling themselves they can't rely on such systems?
Selling a system that may not work because the seller or the middleman shut off switches is not good for business.
To: Tell It Right
My thought too. Everyone is saying this is great but suppose they decide to do this to the deplorables?
