WE ARE STILL IMPORTING 595,000 RUSSIAN OIL BARRELS PER DAY
Pacific Pundit ^ | February 23, 2022

The green nutters in this country, like basically all Democrats are obviously on the side of Russia. While they prevent oil drilling and fracking on US lands, and Biden kills the Keystone XL pipeline, this country continues to import nearly 600,000 barrels of Russian oil per day. You have to ask yourself, why the hell are we still important Russian oil with the “threat of war” with the Ukraine, if Putin is such a baddie?

The answer is simple. As is the case with communist China, communist Democrats love Russia and envy Putin. They would never cut off his oil import and actually allow Americans produce more of their own crude oil. Biden has to protect his corrupt son’s financial stake in both Russia and the Ukraine.

"WE ARE STILL IMPORTING 595,000 RUSSIAN OIL BARRELS PER DAY"

Anyone have a source for daily import data?

Here is monthly data, but no updates for 2022: https://www.eia.gov/dnav/pet/hist/LeafHandler.ashx?n=PET&s=MTTIM_NUS-NRS_1&f=M

If current daily data exists, it might be hiding somewhere on the same website.

Cut off the Russian oil to the US. We have a thousand days of it in the SPR. Don’t count on us increasing our own production.

Ayn Rand was right. We should have nothing to do with those nations that are against us.

Yeah. But if you watch cnn these sanctions are killing Russia. Lol. But we still buy there oil. You don’t really hear cnn talk about that. If he would have left our pipeline open then we could have just quit buying there oil..

We are visiting my wife’s parents and my father in law only watches cnn. Unreal the way they report things with a straight face..

“We’re paying for this invasion! I want my money back”!

BINGO!

Biden cut our production and now we’re reliant on Russian oil...WTH????

Russian oil was excluded from the sanctions.

I am concerned that no one is stating this obvious fact. People (Americans) are going to suffer because of this blind stupidity for renewables.

Germany is in a bind because of it. They have to buy energy from an enemy. The United States is pleading with OPEC to increase production. OPEC are not our friends.

Maybe I am missing something.

"It seems obvious that the reason why Europe and, to a lesser degree the United States, that our foolishness with energy is one of the reasons why Russia has leverage over the world economy."

Agreed. And by now it should be obvious why Russia and the jihad nations heavily donate to green lobbyists, including universities that push us to be energy dependent (in the name of "going green").

I see it clear as day...and I'm the one who put a large solar system onto my house. Just like America should be energy independent from the rest of the world, I've made my personal budget to have some independence from the Democrats jacking up our energy costs to worship gaia's unicorn farts. It's not enough to take me off grid power-wise. But it'll pay for itself in 10-12 years, including paying the interest on the HELOC I took out to pay for it (and that assumes only a 3% inflation rate in energy costs). If I could produce oil or natural gas from my land I would, because that's much more efficient and dependable. But I can produce electricity from solar in substantial ways, even if it's not dependable 100%. So this past winter when I'd normally complain heavily about electricity prices and natural gas prices going way up --- not this year. My now all-electric house has over half of the power supplied "for free" from the solar system.

That's what I'd like for America --- to being back to energy independent like we were with Trump.

We shouldn’t have to pay more than $2.00 a Ballon and could still crush rushia- but our Saul president destroyed our energy independence.

Imported from Siberia via tankers to west coat? If so, California would be hardest hit…

Guessing Russians are replacing diminishing supplies from Alaskan pipeline.

California has a long history of preventing pipelines and alternative oil and gas supplies. This could be a wake up call like the one Germany just got.

According to the 2021 BP Statistical Review of World Energy, in 2020 Russia produced 10.1 million barrels per day (BPD) of crude oil and natural gas condensate. That was good for second place behind the U.S. at 11.3 million BPD. Saudi Arabia was third at 9.3 million BPD.

However, the U.S. also consumes far more oil (17.2 million BPD) than Russia (3.2 million BPD) or Saudi Arabia (3.5 million BPD). The net result is that the U.S. is a net importer of crude oil, while Russia and Saudi Arabia are major crude oil exporters.

Time for a total trade embargo. If that means I pay $10 a gallon for gas while helping to crush Putin then so be it.

Oil is fungible, so it will make little difference who buys it. Besides, much of the available oil is tainted one way or the other, even Canada, as well as Venezuela and the Middle East.

It is extortion. Oil is $100 per Bbl. now so we are forced to pay at the pump $60,000,000.00 a day to Russia because of the stolen election and Biden, got it. Thanks.

Joe’s handlers killed the XL oil pipeline that would have delivered ~ 830,000 barrels per day .. then cancelled oil leases from New Mexico to Alaska.. ignored a federal judge, too..

Insane. You would drain the SPR and not affect Russia at all.
