I dunno. I’ve often wondered why we call Europe a continent. I mean I understand that’s where all this sciency stuff came from, and the folks making these maps and such decided it is. But, really, it’s not. All the arguments on where it stops and Asia starts show that. It’s a subcontinent.

I can understand thinking that big land mass stretching from spain to nearly alaska should have just one name.
From one way of looking, Europe is not a continent, but rather part of the continent of Eurasia.
By that same viewpoint, North and South America are just parts of the continent of America.

A continent is a large continuous mass of land conventionally regarded as a collective region. There are seven continents: Asia, Africa, North America, South America, Antarctica, Europe, and Australia (listed from largest to smallest in size).

Political divide not a physical one. That’s why many call it Eurasia.
People are divided into tribes and tongues and cultures and history and governments and etc. it’s not necessarily racism although we can weaponize it that way.
