Dozens of civilians have been killed and hundreds wounded after Russian rocket artillery opened fire on Ukraine's second-largest city, authorities in Kiev have said.
Kharkiv, which has witnessed some of the heaviest fighting of the war so far, was hit by rockets fired from Russian positions on Monday - with video showing an area around a major shopping centre blanketed by explosions.
Graphic images and video then revealed streets littered with the bodies of dead and badly wounded civilians, with other images showing spent shell cartridges laying in the streets and having fallen through apartment roofs.
It marks one of the most-serious attacks on civilians since the war began five days ago, and came despite Ukrainian and Russian delegations sitting down in Belarus for 'peace talks'.

The Russians use artillery and missiles as terror weapons, no military value at all.
Wow. The historic parallels are almost exact. Stalin blundered into Finland some eighty odd years ago and ended up flattening Helsinki to force the Finns to surrender. Putin is now bombing Kharkiv apparently trying to do the same thing.

Well the Russians are out of Chechen sitting ducks, and have to send in real soliders. Time to get series!
I agree. It seems like Putin is trying to force a surrender or capitulation at the negotiating table. They don’t seem to be playing the traditional ground war territory strategy yet. Seems like they are more than fine with targeting civilians as remotely as possible to increase the fear factor.

There are only two ways to make them pay, and that is either to bomb their troops on the ground, or pick a nearby Russian city (Rostov-on-Don would be good) and bomb the holy $h1+ out of it--one well-endowed US air strike should do it, and could be done in such a way that SloJoe could deny we had anything to do with it, wink wink nudge nudge say no more.

Are those civilian areas? Are they just randomly and purposefully bombing civilian apt bldgs and Homes? Or are those military related bldgs? I don’t know. Why would they focus on bombing apartment bldgs?
