Bolsonaro won't condemn Putin, says Brazil will remain neutral over invasion

Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro on Sunday declined to condemn Russian President Vladimir Putin's invasion of Ukraine, while departing from his government's official stance at the United Nations to say Brazil would remain neutral.

Bolsonaro, a far-right populist, recently snubbed U.S. entreaties not to visit Putin in Moscow ahead of the invasion, and angered Western allies by saying he was "in solidarity with Russia," without elaborating.

On Friday, Brazil voted for a draft UN Security Council resolution that would have denounced the Russian invasion of Ukraine, despite reluctance by Bolsonaro.

Ata press conference, Bolsonaro said he spoke for two hours with Putin on Sunday. Brazil will remain neutral in the conflict, he said, noting that Russia and Ukraine were "practically brother nations."

"We will not take sides, we will continue being neutral, and help with whatever is possible," Bolsonaro said. "A big part of Ukraine's population speaks Russian."

Maybe some see the hypocrisy of the West lecturing Russia about the ‘rule of law’ when they have totally disregarded it when they want to install a different thug or two. Think Libya Kosovo and Iraq. Fact is, the West is riddled with hypocrites who just swept our freedoms out the door with Covid hysteria. The commie media wants the lemmings to forget covid hysterics now and take up Russia hysterics. The aim is the same. Globalism

Well it could be said by some that Ukraine’s war is a political war.....therefor taking sides could be riskier for some than others.

Just saw a Fox pundit using an election board type weather board......didn’t know if to laugh or cry watching him tell the audience what Ukraines. are doing and what Russia’s doing in this war..... like it’s a football game!

no, first Russia and China have teamed up, they just saw that Biden is weak, taking advantage of situation -Biden enabled it when he made jihad on oil-see Putins' old disertation-talks about rebuilding the Russian empire and how critical oil is, over $80 and he can fight on forever There is a guy that IMHO has a podcast that has been putting that its just Putin vs globalist and Micahle Savage has version how Ukraine was not friendly to Jews (like Russia was?) and my sister keeps posting crazy stuff from him, that Putin is merely cleaning up Bio labs? (same guy has been saying every two months how Trump will be reinstalled), that the pics of Ukraininans with rifles are just cardboard, sadly that is lefty disinformation to make conservativess look nuts

That’s pretty much it in a nut shell.

They are under the illusion world countries can all be under the umbrella of fairyland and fantasy.....that mankind can live happily ever after in the world they want to design. Which of course is one they will control.

The fact is they will be shown one day they controlled nothing.

FakeNewsMSM might like to give the impression the world is against Russia aka Putin (in their minds):

27 Feb: NDTV: AFP: Highly Appreciate India’s Balanced Position”: Russia On Ukraine Crisis
New Delhi and Moscow were close throughout the Cold War, a relationship that endures to this day, and Russia continues to be India’s biggest arms supplier
Russia has praised India’s “independent and balanced” position after New Delhi abstained from a UN Security Council vote that deplored Moscow’s “aggression” against Ukraine. India, along with China and the UAE, did not vote on the resolution Friday, a move in line with the fine balance Delhi has sought to strike between partnerships with Moscow and Western allies.
The Russian embassy in India welcomed India’s stand on Saturday...

Despite being the world’s largest democracy and a member of the “Quad” grouping with Australia, Japan and the United States, India has neither explicitly condemned Moscow’s actions, nor called them an invasion so far...
The United States has been in discussions with India over its position on Ukraine, and on Saturday it urged Delhi to use its influence with Russia to “protect the rules-based international order”.
“India and Russia have a relationship, including in the defence and security sector, that we don’t have,” US State Department spokesman Ned Price told reporters. “We have asked every country that has a relationship and certainly those countries that have leverage to use that leverage in a constructive way.”...

BRICS, or just fears getting his ass blown apart by the various allies and proxies Pooty-Poot's got in S. Am? JB was quick to recognize Biden's election, so maybe he's just trying to be the white line down the middle of the road? I mean, besides cocaine.

tangential but this is an interesting article.

I hadn’t appreciated just how big a deal the central bank reserves thing was. if russia chooses to see it as an act of war by the relevant countries, they are completely justified in doing so.

many people do not seem to realize that this is not a one-hex podunk country somewhere no one wants to go that can never do anything to us anyhow no matter how much we kick it.

at this rate, the third world war will start this week.
