Trump simply demanded that NATO mean something. If you’re afraid of Russia, then fund your military and don’t give Russia control of your economy. If you are not afraid of Russia, then why do we fund NATO at all?

If Russia gets out of Ukraine with something looking like a victory, NATO is broken. And if Putin fails, Putin is broken. But since NATO did nothing to keep him in his box, NATO may be broken anyway.

If Trump was rightfully in the Oval Office we wouldn’t be talking about Russia invading Ukraine…instead we would have $2 gas, a tight border, low inflation, stocked shelves, and prosperity instead of malaise…
If Trump were president we’d be energy independent and Putin would be on food stamps.
