The West on Sunday imposed a ban on SWIFT, excluding Russia from the global payments system as a stringent response to Moscow's invasion of Ukraine. Photos and videos that were circulated online showed the Russian public forming long lines outside of ATMs in panic, to retrieve cash to avoid a financial downfall.

I think Ukraine will expand its borders after this. I’m not joking. A little Joek lingo there.

The story isn’t about the sanctions.
The story is about the Moscow ATM run and empty ATMs on Sunday.
The story tomorrow will be the run on physical banks on Monday morning. Russians are lining up already in front of the banks that don’t even open until tomorrow.
Putin is going to have a real hell on his hands tomorrow with his bank situation with his own people.

That’s why Putin told his generals to take Kiev by Monday or else. And of course that’s not going to happen.
Russians are already lining up in front of the physical banks and they don’t even open until tomorrow morning.

I think the Generals are starting to tell Putin, “We’re out!”
If Putin insists on continuing, he’s liable to catch a fatal case of Kremlin Flu.

“The lines looked like the gas lines in Keiv(Kyiv) the other day when I was going to fill up the truck.”
Interesting, haven’t seen or heard that from anywhere else, including here. Gas is pretty cheap in western Colorado, $3.25 and I get 60 cents off at City Market when I time it right.

Eerily similar to what occurred with Czar Nicholas 105 years ago. Unpopular war, high inflation, no money, no food and ruled by an oligarch protected by a brutal secret police.
The Russians have been through this before. They know.

Ukraine has nothing to do with SWIFT, so even if Putin negotiates peace with Ukraine, he still has to deal with the rest of Europe. I predict Germany will cave first, but maybe not as it is getting warmer...

So far all the stories I've read on the conflict come down to this:
- Ukrainians are all heroically taking up arms, from small child to old ladies they are all on the front line smashing Russians on the ground and in the air.
- Russian soldiers are incompetent, unwilling, and getting crushed everywhere
- Russia had no plan. Or it did have a plan but it isn't working. Whatever.
- Putin is insane and raving in his bunker and calling for Steiner to break through the lines (or very similar to that)
This is either an epic fail by Russia in every regard OR maybe the reporting has been a little unreliable and one-sided.

Wow. This just may fall apart very fast for Putin, although I doubt it. But if it does it’s going to be disgusting how the MSM will completely credit Biden for it even though the mofo financed it by lifting Russian sanctions.
