President Volodymyr Zelensky’s office said Belarus President Aleksander Lukashenko called the Ukrainian President Sunday.
...
"Aleksander Lukashenko has taken responsibility for ensuring that all planes, helicopters and missiles stationed on the Belarusian territory will remain on the ground during the Ukrainian delegation's travel, meeting and return."
Russian state news agencies also reported Sunday that a Russian presidential aide said that Ukraine had confirmed it would meet a delegation from the Russian Federation in the Gomel region of Belarus, without providing details about who would represent the Ukrainian side.

Hopefully good news
Great news
Reported on CNN, so that means leaked to CNN.
10K people will see it.
Maybe I am recalling a history lesson wrong. But didn’t the Soviets meet with the Czech delegates during their uprising and didn’t they use said meeting to kill the Czechs?
Is CNN even reporting this invasion or are they still focused on Trump's tax returns?
Hope they wear masks…. Seriously… nobody has zoom? Lol
I hope there is an agreement.
I think everyone can win if:
*Ukraine concedes Crimea to Russia
*DPR and LPR become independent
*Ukraine agrees to never join NATO
*Ukraine does join the EU.
The Finland/Austria solution. Not officially a western ally, but in reality is part of the western block.

I have a recollection of that too. But Zelensky isn’t going to this one. He’s sending another government minister. If they arrest him, they accomplish nothing.
Meanwhile...
Silence from Brandon.
It is too early for there to be any “good” news out of Ukrainian/Russian talks.
China and Taiwan have to add *their* thing to the mix.
We’re headed headlong into a nuclear scare folks.
Buckle Up buttercups!
Withdrawal all your troops. That’s what I’d tell them.
Austria, Cyprus, Finland, Ireland, Malta, and Sweden are EU members that are not in NATO.
Major countries of NATO not in the EU are US, UK, Canada, Norway and Turkey.
That’s the best thing to do at this point.
Agreed. Total withdrawal from Ukraine has to be a condition.
Also Putin will be able to get any logistics issues corrected during this time should he sustain the campaign which I think he will.
No, but there was a meeting between the Soviets and Czechs at the Soviet-Slovak border a couple of weeks before the invasion, where Dubcek tried to convince the other Warsaw pact leaders that the reforms were a purely an internal Czech affair.
Directly after the invasion the Czech leaders were flown to Moscow were they had to sign the Moscow accords. They were returned to Prague later in August, and Dubcek remained as First Secretary until spring 1969. Eventually, he was expelled from the Party. (In all according to the pattern used by Stalin - except that the reformers were not executed.)
I wonder if, and how much, they will demand of Russia to pay for the destruction they have done.
That will be another sticking point.
