In one fell swoop, Poland went from being a threat to the West's democratic-liberal political order to the tip of the spear in the fight to protect this order from what it suddenly sees as the preeminent threat: Russian President Vladimir Putin, and what the West perceives to be his "imperialistic" plan of expansion.
Up until recently, US President Joe Biden refused to meet with his Polish counterpart, Andrzej Duda, due to what the Democratic administration believes to be the Polish government's conservative policies. The European Union, too, had mobilized to impose economic sanctions on Poland for "harming the values of the EU." Washington and Brussels now find themselves needing to recalculate their approach to Poland, because as a wise man once said: Everything is relative.
The efforts last summer to flood Poland, and through it Europe with "refugees" from the Middle East and Africa, via Belarus with Moscow's encouragement, were the promo for the real flood of refugees from Ukraine now seeking shelter in Poland. As long as Ukraine was there as a protective buffer on the EU and NATO's eastern flank, it was possible to patronize the Polish government and ignore its repeated warnings about the real threat facing Europe. Now, Poland is on the front lines. The British have already realized this and have deployed advanced defensive systems to Poland.

Poles could easily become the next Super Power in Europe if they can weather this storm with the Ruskies.
The US doesn’t conquer countries..it encourages..even aids them..to occupy our country.

At this point it is (fortunately) not Biden who gets to decide what happens with this war.
As the the Russian offensive bogs down it becomes increasingly likely that the Poles will join the fight and cross over to defend civilians in Western Ukraine.

The EU should send UN troops, tanks & planes to Ukraine’s defense. THIS IS A FAILURE OF THE UN.

LOL. Funny but true. Just a few weeks ago, Poland was a dangerous pariah cracking down on the rights of abortionists, LGBTs and commies. Now Poland is heroic, eh? Wondering if the media/elite will forget about their hatred and vilification of Orban and Hungary too.
1939 taught the Poles how much to rely on their western allies and to keep an eye on Russia (USSR).
And most likely because of Trump once again.

Remember when the Germans rolled their eyes because Poland built an expensive LNG terminal and signed a long term contract to buy a significant portion of their natural gas - at higher prices - from the US rather than be so energy dependent on Russia? The Germans thought themselves smarter for not only having Nordstream but now Nordstream II so they could be even more dependent on Russia.
How does that look now?
He gets us through the valleys of death we face and repays us for the troubles the enemy has caused us when we trust Him and have faith belief in Him and the power of His Name.
From what I’ve read from modern prophecies, today’s Russia was reborn and raised from the ashes of the Soviet Union by Jesus, Himself, and is on supernatural probation.
Russia is to wholeheartedly give itself to Jesus and follow Him and Russia will be blessed, just like in the Old Testament stories of nations who repented and turned back to God were blessed.
But if Russia returns to those old ways again? Well, the modern prophecies and the OT both speak of the consequences for doing that, too.
Fear of the Lord will then fill those hearts and minds where love of God should normally be found should Russia violate their probation.
Learning our lessons here in God’s Schoolhouse Earth can be easy and joyful or not, but it’s our choice which lesson plan we’re on.
Going back to their old, rebellious, prodigal ways while on probation is definitely choosing to get an education the hard way.
IS “GOG & MAGOG” RUSSIA?
(Note: There are different views about this, but here is one legitimate one—presented by Jeff Rogers.)
First of all – please know there is an entire industry built around linking current events to Bible Prophecy. It thrives on keeping the masses ignorant of Grammar and World History.
As a former high school Ancient World History teacher, I find it painfully hard to read something written thousands of years ago and apply it to modern-day current events. When I see posts on social media pointing to the Old Testament as if it were some secret code waiting to be revealed on CNN – it’s a cringy as fingernails screeching on a chalkboard. You’d have to be over 40 to even know that hideous and irritating sound. But yeah, it’s that annoying.
Now the so-called “Bible Prophecy Experts” are at it once again. Since Russia invaded Ukraine, we are all being forced to see Russia as “Gog” and/or “Magog”. Because I am a Theology professor, my phone is blowing up with texts. People are asking, “What in the heck is all this about Gog and Magog?” I do not have the time to respond to each one individually, so I decided to write a brief article. I hope you share it and help educate people.
The whole “Gog & Magog” idea comes from the Old Testament book of Ezekiel, chapters 38 & 39 and it has absolutely nothing to do with modern-day Russia! Here’s why:
1. Ezekiel, Ezra, & Nehemiah lived during the Babylonian exile.
2.The Book of Ezekiel was written by a priest/prophet living in exile in the ancient city of Babylon between 593 and 571 BC.
3. Ezekiel spent 22 years writing 6 visions about the judgment of Ancient Israel and the building of the 2nd Temple which longer exists. That Temple was destroyed.
4. This prophecy has already been fulfilled as it was fought with ancient, primitive weapons!!
Are we to see modern-day military offensive forces to be equipped with “weapons” (39:9) which include 3-foot-long “swords” (38:21), 6-foot tall “horses” (39:20) and 2-wheeled “chariots” (39:20), (in addition to “shields and bucklers, bows and arrows, war clubs and spears”; 39:9)
- The War of Gog & Magog was fought by men on horses.
- The War of Gog & Magog was fought with bows & arrows.
- The War of Gog & Magog was fought with chariots.
(No nuclear warheads, no Apache helicopters, and no fighter jets!)
5. Gog was a land in the ancient Persian Empire.
(Ezekiel 38:2) “Son of man, set your face against Gog, of the land of Magog, the prince of (1) Rosh, (2) Meshech, and (3) Tubal, and prophecy against him…”
(Ezekiel 38:2) “Son of man, set your face against Gog, of the land of Magog, the prince of (1) Rosh, (2) Meshech, and (3) Tubal, and prophesy against him…”
1 - ROSH is not code for Russia! Rosh means “Head” in Hebrew.
2- MESHECH means “tall” in Hebrew. Meschech was a son of Japheth, and grandson of Noah.
3- TUBAL means “He who tills the soil” in Hebrew. He was also a son of Japheth, and a grandson of Noah.
4. This war took place in the BOOK OF ESTHER! Haman was out to destroy all the Jews in the Persian Empire during the Babylonian exile.
See ESTHER 3:1 -
“After these things King Ahasuerus promoted Haman, the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, and advanced him and set his seat above all the princes who were with him.”
Haman was an “Agagite” (or) an “GOG- ITE”.
Telling us that GOG was in the Ancient Persian Empire.
5. “UNWALLED CITIES” - mentioned in Ezekiel and Esther during the same time in Ancient World History:
(Ezekiel 38: 8-11 )
“...and they are living securely ...and you will say, ‘I will go up against the land of unwalled villages... without walls, and having no bars or gates”
(Esther 9:19) -
Therefore the Jews of the villages who dwelt in the unwalled towns celebrated the fourteenth day of the month of Adar with gladness and feasting, as a holiday, and for sending presents to one another.
Conclusion: It’s dangerous to assume Ancient Bible Prophecy is yet to be fulfilled when it already has been. It causes much confusion and senseless fear and anxiety. It’s time we put an end to widespread panic and flawed teaching. It’s time to become more educated and less indoctrinated.
Russia has a date with Ezekiel 38 and 39.
It’ll burn because God said so.
Perhaps so, perhaps not so. I really don’t know which is so.
It seems to depend on how people read the map and the calendar when they translate to modern times.
I’m still open minded about these things and am working to just be an observer and hopeful student of the Holy Spirit, at least that’s how I see me these days.
Personally, I’m not sure exactly where we are in the story so far and I enjoy contemplating this question.
These times have been very instructive for teaching me the reality of God and Satan and Heaven and hell, and very helpful for understanding the struggles we face in between them during this life here in God’s matrix.
