I believe Putin is finished if he doesn’t get total victory here. Which is scary to contemplate, because to what lengths will he go?
If it were Trump, I know he would want to figure out a solution that would allow Putin to save face, to avoid that.
Of course the press would call him a ‘Putin Lover’ for it.

China hasn’t finished sucking the blood from its host yet. They want the US to continue to finance their economic expansion for a while longer.
So they will continue to say nice things while using subterfuge to get what they want.
China doesn’t want Russia to destroy too much of Ukraine’s infrastructure because China has its own “Belt and Road” deal with Ukraine!!!
