Fast-Spreading Covid-19 Omicron Type Revives Questions About Opening Up
The Wall Street Journal ^ | 2/23/2022 | Peter Landers and Miho Inada

A more infectious type of the Omicron variant has surged to account for more than a third of global Covid-19 cases sequenced recently, adding to the debate about whether countries are ready for full reopening.

Health authorities are examining whether the subvariant of Omicron, known as BA.2, could extend the length of Covid-19 waves that have peaked recently in Europe, Japan and some other places.

“We’re looking not only at how quickly those peaks go up, but how they come down,” World Health Organization epidemiologist Maria Van Kerkhove said. “And as the decline in cases occurs…we also need to look at: Is there a slowing of that decline? Or will we start to see an increase again?”

BA.2 accounted for only 3.9% of Covid-19 infections in the U.S. in the week through Feb. 12, according to the most recent estimate released by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. After an Omicron surge in December 2021, the U.S. has experienced an equally sharp and steady fall.

Oh good God.

Now it’s a “version of a variant”.

But the science shows that the masks and lockdowns make little to no difference in the spread of covid.

These people are like ancient Indian tribes who believed that how much rain fell from the sky was the result of how much dancing they did.

Now it's a “version of a variant”.

The Covid clouds are starting to label their engineered viruses like software which is not a good sign. We should start calling them virus releases.

It’s hard to believe that the Wall Street Journal was ever any sort of conservative publication.

Two years of lockdowns and ridiculous restrictions have accomplished absolutely nothing except to extend the entire mess instead of letting it burn itself out. But these lockdowns and restrictions have accomplished their real purpose, to break the will of the people and to teach them to obey.

I liken them to the cargo Cults in the Pacific.

Occasionally I will tell somebody who is still wearing a mask in public, you might as well burn incense and chant in a dead language. You will get the same results. It’s pure Superstition now. Howard Hughes syndrome.

“A more infectious type of the Omicron variant” is to be welcomed as it means more people will gain natural immunity and better protection.

The sooner the better.

The wife and I, purebloods, are both recovering from several weeks of the Fauci Flu. Rather unpleasant weeks. However, now we are chock-full of natural antibodies.

Somebody confirm this as to whether or not I am correct. But it is my understanding that once you had the Jab even if you get covid-19, you will not develop natural antibodies for it. That somehow the jab screws your body’s ability to develop those antibodies.

Just pointing out that the variants through Delta were mutations of the original release. Omicron was created in the lab (completely different mutations from Delta, but with the Wuhan release as the starting point) and released by ‘probably the good guys’, although unless we get proof of who made it, which is a probable not, will remain shrouded in mystery.
