Poland expects a decision on reinforcing NATO's eastern flank after Russian forces invaded Ukraine, a Polish government spokesman said on Thursday.
"Now is the time to reinforce NATO's eastern flank. We expect such decisions to be taken," Piotr Muller said.
Poland has repeatedly called for a stronger presence of armed forces from the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) in eastern Europe because of Russia's increasingly assertive policies.
Muller said on public TV that Russian President Vladimir Putin wanted to rebuild a great Russian state whose borders would possibly reach Poland.
"That is why the danger ... is real and why these actions aimed at reinforcing the NATO army are indispensable."
Poland is now hosting more than 4,000 enduring rotational U.S. military personnel, the fourth-largest concentration of U.S. forces in Europe, the U.S. Secretary of Defence Lloyd Austin said during a recent visit to Warsaw.

That election was decided by a combination of legitimate votes from emotional women who were hysterical over “mean tweets” and “the patriarchy”, and by a flood of fraudulent votes manufactured largely by criminally-minded blacks in certain large cities. The fraud was the deciding factor, but the hysterical, unserious liberal women kept things close enough for fraud to decide it. BOTH problems must be dealt with, the fraud by closing the holes that facilitate it and by prosecuting the criminals, and the “silly female” problem by shaming them loudly and bluntly. STOP worrying about what a wife, friend, neighbor is going to say when you point out the obvious, because their frivolous voting, driven often by how someone looks (Justin Trudeau) or by their fragile emotions (Biden) is going to get a lot of people killed. Analysis of past elections has shown that if only men voted, democrats would never win anything again outside of a precious few small strongholds.
Believe me, I know that our awesome conservative women are wise and informed and tougher than any liberal male, but the problem is that there’s a huge number of liberal women who are just irrational, childish, blithering idiots. Since we can’t repeal womens’ suffrage, the only option is to shame the liberal women by loudly reminding them at this crucial moment of the difference between their silly motivations and the harsh reality of the real world. They need to see that their feelings-based votes against Trump are directly responsible for everything going wrong in the world now. Many will never see the light, but maybe some will.
Our new regime is accomplishing Herculean tasks. Not since the early 60s have we seen a world wide monolithic communist movement. The Chicoms are in total support as they prepare their invasion to reunite China. I think Russia and China have an understanding not to step in each other’s toes as they fill the power vacuum left by the fall of Pax Americana.
For several significant reasons, my belief on Ukraine is radically different than anyone on FreeRepublic.
Despite the smoke and mirrors, I believe Ukraine was gifted by leftists to Putina, and is just one of several brotherly leftist paybacks in the deck.
I like Poland.
It should be sold everything it needs to stay safe.

Those tanks are years away. Meanwhile, Poland’s tiny military has no chance against the Russians - less of a chance then the Ukrainians.
