Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says the government will end the use of the Emergencies Act after it was invoked just over a week ago in response to the ongoing trucker convoy blockades and protests.
Trudeau made the announcement on Wednesday alongside Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland, Justice Minister David Lametti, Public Safety Minister Marco Mendicino, and Emergency Preparedness Minister Bill Blair.

I hope you are right but from what I read a substantial part of the Canadian people agree with Trudeau.
A lot of people were harmed by the closed borders. Unfortunately, a lot of people don’t understand the plight of the truckers the fisherman and others impacted by the Governments restriction or just don’t care.
Unfortunately, ignorance rules (most of the time).

Can also explain the insane reaction here in the U S to the Jan 6 brouhaha in DC.
But the deeper political realties will always emerge to shift the prevailing winds. Trudeau has suffered immense political damage from his despotic reaction to the truckers--and so has Canada itself.
From this time forward in Trudeau's reign, his horrifyingly fascist response to the truckers has set Canada back on its heels in the eyes of the common sense world.
Trudeau has given the international community a glimpse of the demons lurking behid the soy-boy image--the jack-booted police, the trampling Mounties, the seizure of your bank account, the threat to your children's life and welfare--all these terrors have been recorded in living color and filed forever.
The pictures of a black-faced Trudeau that have re-emerged across all social media attest to the fact that a significant portion of the world public has seen full-force the darkness and brutality behind the facade of that curly-headed egotistical monster.
Trudeau has gouged a permanent scar of dishonor into the otherwise mild and very likeable soul of Canada.
