KYIV, Ukraine (AP) — The Kremlin says that the rebel leaders in eastern Ukraine have asked Russia for military assistance to fend off the Ukrainian “aggression.”

The appeal raises the prospect of Russia’s direct military involvement in eastern Ukraine amid Western fears that Moscow is poised to launch an all-out invasion of its neighbor.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said the rebel chiefs wrote to Russian President Vladimir Putin to tell him that shelling by the Ukrainian military has caused civilian deaths and forced many people to flee.

The move comes after Putin recognized the independence of Russia-backed rebel regions in eastern Ukraine and signed friendship treaties with them. On Tuesday, lawmakers gave Putin permission to use military forces outside the country.

“But here’s a guy that says, you know, ‘I’m gonna declare a big portion of Ukraine independent’ – he used the word ‘independent’ – ‘and we’re gonna go out and we’re gonna go in and we’re gonna help keep peace.’ You gotta say that’s pretty savvy.”

In another 3 years, Mexican rebels in California are going to ask China for support in reclaiming their homeland in their independent territories.

Well, OK, if China wants to try defending some patch of California desert, against the US military for Mexican “rebels”, let’s see them do it.

It would be just as stupid anmd just as relevant to national interest as the US defending Ukraine.

The problem is when you leave *ANY* of them alive.

The only way to deal with a rebellion is to either give in, or sterilize the entire area. Rebs are like a cancer, get it all, or it will get you.

Don’t think they are not thinking about it. The La Raza and MEChA folks have been war gaming that for years.

Well, America would NEVER do something like supporting militarily a “breakaway region”. For example, if a Muslim majority area of Serbia would declare independence we would NEVER militarily insure they were successful. /sarc

The architects of the Plan de San Diego to retake Texas and the Southwest thought of using the Japanese as their military support. There were plans to welcome the IJN into Mexican Pacific and Gulf of Cali ports.

The creation of Texas is not that different from what’s going on now.

That area is called Kosovo (or Kosava, by Bill Clinton). I’m still trying to figure out the differences in what we did there, versus what Putin just did. And about all that I can come up with was that we bombed civilians in Belgrade to get our way, while Putin didn’t bomb anyone.

No Blue states of California, Oregon and Washington will ask for Chinese troops “peacekeepers” to protect the Pacific Coast from advancing Free states after the fall of Carson City to General Eric Trumps “Army of the West”. General Don Jr’s “Army of the East” having Taken New York City and arrested President Hillary Clinton.
