Since the day that Donald Trump became president, Democrats in Washington have told you it's your patriotic duty to hate Vladimir Putin. It's not a suggestion. It's a mandate. Anything less than hatred for Putin is treason.
Many Americans have obeyed this directive. They now dutifully hate Vladimir Putin. Maybe you're one of them. Hating Putin has become the central purpose of America's foreign policy. It's the main thing that we talk about. Entire cable channels are now devoted to it. Very soon, that hatred of Vladimir Putin could bring the United States into a conflict in Eastern Europe.
Before that happens, it might be worth asking yourself, since it is getting pretty serious: What is this really about? Why do I hate Putin so much? Has Putin ever called me a racist? Has he threatened to get me fired for disagreeing with him? Has he shipped every middle-class job in my town to Russia? Did he manufacture a worldwide pandemic that wrecked my business and kept me indoors for two years? Is he teaching my children to embrace racial discrimination? Is he making fentanyl? Is he trying to snuff out Christianity? Does he eat dogs?
These are fair questions, and the answer to all of them is no. Vladimir Putin didn't do any of that. So why does permanent Washington hate him so much?
If you've been watching the news, you know that Putin is having a border dispute with a nation called Ukraine. Now, the main thing to know about Ukraine for our purposes is that its leaders once sent millions of dollars to Joe Biden's family. Not surprisingly, Ukraine is now one of Biden's favorite countries.

Growing up we hated the Soviet Union, I have never had that fear of Russia OR Putin, I am quite sure he is probably not a very nice man HOWEVER China is infiltrating our country and freedoms I would rather live in Russia than be under China rule! Russia IS NOT WOKE!!
There is also a trend away from abortion in Russia.

Good idea! I’ve looked at thousands of youtube videos on all sorts of subjects, but never thought about the category “life in xxx”.

Yes, I have been watching a lot of them. Bald and Bankrupt was my introduction, but I also like Yeah Russia, Eli From Russia and NFKRZ.
I believe that does drive some of it, but they also hate Poles for the same reason.
Western media outlets have portrayed Trump as being anything and everything that is wrong, evil, subhuman, fill in your own adjectives. They same the same about Putin.
Putin has his own reasons for what’s he is doing in Ukraine.
I don’t know what those reason are. I certainly won’t form an opinion from what I see on CNN or read in the NY times.

Errr... I have friends from Russia ( sone Jewish, some not ) who TELL ME that they know journalists (plural). acquaintances who have been killed mysteriously.

I know that there are plenty of “ethnic” Russians in Ukraine who were livid when Khrushchev gave away Crimea after the war. I’m willing to bet that a good part of the country wants to reunify with Russia.
I have Russian friends, now American citizens. They don’t like Putin but tell me he is building churches all over Siberia; good for the Russkies. Overflowing with young people also.
U.S. problems need to be directed to Biden, not Putin. Not that Putin is such a great guy, but Biden is the one causing our problems. It all seemed to start as soon as he took office beginning with the Keystone pipeline. He has allowed it to continue with other mistakes including trying to throw the blame on Trump. Biden is the closest thing to being a complete loser as a president as anyone I’ve ever seen. Maybe we could send him to Canada so they would have a matched set.
If Stalin and Mao were alive today, 25% of Freepers would worship them. Obama must be proud, he helped perpetuate this belief, even in people who detest him.
